Matteus 14:13-21 vertel van Jesus wat vyfduisend voed. Dit is 'n pragtige prentjie van God se ongeëwenaarde vrygewigheid en voorsiening vir ons. Wat sê dit vir ons van Sy natuur? Ons God is 'n God van gasvryheid wat elkeen van ons verwelkom, 'n vleesgeworde God wat saam met ons aan tafel sit en ons vul met goeie dinge. Hy woon onder ons.
